The Audio-Reader Garden

The Garden for the Senses

The Audio-Reader Garden is next to the parking lot at the Baehr Audio-Reader Center, on 11th Street in Lawrence, just uphill (west) from the stadium.

The Garden was conceived to provide an outdoor environment that is fully accessible to the blind and visually impaired, while stimulating many of our senses with nature's beauty.

Help us build a walkway that remembers.

We have added a brick walkway to the garden, and the bricks can be individually laser engraved. We want to give you an opportunity to create a lasting tribute to a great person in your life, or to commemorate an important event. Anniversaries, births, weddings (or proposals); anything you want remembered can be laser-etched into a brick which will become a lifetime part of this garden for the senses.

Proceeds from the personalized bricks are being used to make further improvements to the garden. The cost for each brick is $100, and your donation is tax-deductible. Each brick can hold three lines of text, 12 characters each.
