Use code 5887 for a six minute demo / Available 24/7
The Lions Telephone Reader is an on-demand dial-up information system originally funded by a grant from the Lions Clubs of Kansas District 17-O. Seven days a week, volunteers record themselves reading articles from the Kansas City Star, Topeka Capital Journal, Wichita Eagle and many other publications. These recordings become digital files available through the telephone and Internet to anyone signed up for the service.
Listeners access the recordings using the touch-tone buttons on their telephones, can navigate directly to any publication, can speed up/slow down the readings, and can change the volume.
Some publications, including the Wichita Eagle and USA Today, are read by a speech synthesizer with multiple voice options. Nearly all of the radio programs broadcast on Audio-Reader are available for on-demand listening through Telephone Reader.
Our listener's love our telephone reading service. But don't just take our word for it! Listen to what our listeners have to say about Audio Reader:
