The Whole Person offers a broad range of services to people with disabilities to increase their ability to perform day-to-day activities and reduce the need of support from family members, professional attendants or other care-giving services. Our services and programs build the confidence of these individuals and improve the many skills they need to live, learn and work in the Kansas City metro community.

Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI)

Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired exists to serve blind and visually impaired children, their families, and the community. CCVI’s comprehensive program model provides specialized education and therapy services designed to help their students and families succeed by meeting them where they are.

Envision (Wichita)

Envision provides personalized solutions for people who are blind or have low vision.

While we are physically based in Wichita, KS, Dallas, TX and 16 different U.S. Military Bases, we proudly serve people who are blind or visually impaired across the nation – enriching lives through employment, outreach, rehabilitation, education and research.

The Community Voice

Since 1994, The Community Voice has used the power of journalism to inform and empower its readers. They cover news and fill information gaps on issues of importance to our African American audience as a way to empower them to create positive change in their lives and their communities.
